Challenge Marine's experienced shipwrights are qualified in all aspects of their trade, and take pride in the high quality finish of their work.
Shipwrighting is an ancient craft, and where the style of the vessel requires it, our team enjoy using traditional methods. Equally, we will use the latest technology and materials where that is appropriate, looking for a lightweight but strong product.
Louisa had damage to her timber hull. We repaired this, and gave her a general overhaul and facelift.
Marina had structural damage and rotten timbers in her prow. Our team removed the rotten timber, crafted new hardwood framing to fit, and re-planked her.
The shipwright team are immensely proud of all the timber work on the Island Passage, a luxury cruiser working around New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
